Open media referenceHonored One is the Style most new players recognise as Gojo. The trap is thinking the name does the work for you. You still need to win neutral, and throwing a big move from full screen is a great way to give the other player a free dash.
Base kit: make them walk into the problem
| Slot | Move | Player job |
|---|---|---|
1 | Lapse Blue | Pull a careless player into your preferred range. |
2 | Reversal Red | Keep a rushing opponent honest and create space. |
3 | Rapid Punches | Cash out after a confirm; do not use it as your only opener. |
4 | Twofold Kick | Catch a predictable approach or extend a route when the spacing is right. |
R | Limitless | Save it for a read, a punish or an actual finish instead of pressing it because the icon is lit. |
The simple loop is threaten space → make them dash → punish the recovery. Start with 1 from a range where a miss does not put you in immediate M1 danger. If they block and wait, walk up and test their patience with a short M1 instead of repeating the same projectile.
A low-drama practice route
- Side-dash once, then use
1. Your goal is to feel the range, not to hit a montage clip. - After a clean pull, land a short M1 string and stop. Watch whether they block, dash or mash.
- Use
2only after you have seen the approach. If you throw it first every time, better players will simply wait. - Add
3or4after a confirmed hit. If either move whiffs, record the distance and shorten the route. - Treat awakening as a second game plan. Learn the base kit until you can survive without it.
Common Gojo mistakes
- Full-screen spam: the animation is impressive; the punish is even more impressive for your opponent.
- Using Red as a panic button: block or dash first when you are already inside M1 range.
- Burning Limitless on neutral: keep it for a read that changes the fight.
- Ignoring the wall: destructible scenery can remove your comfortable spacing. Reposition before starting another pull.
